This year, we have several outstanding presenters who will engage visitors with military and civilian themed presentations:
The "Meet the Generals" program will give audiences the opportunity to hear the Union Generals present their individual stories of the Civil War and then you may ask the Generals a question that they will answer in first person. We will also have a "Meet the Ladies" presentation, with the wives of each of the Union Generals.
Historian Paula Gidjunis will offer a presentation entitled
"From the Home Front to the Battlefield: Civilians in the Civil War."
Musician Matthew Dodd will be singing and telling "Stories of the Civil War."
A detailed schedule of events and programs will be posted closer to the event date.
Explore the military and civilian encampment areas, see a Confederate artillery demonstration, families may bring their children to the "Be a Soldier Kid Enlistment Program," and the mansion will be open for tours and exhibits. Stop at the Sutler area for souvenirs, books, and period clothing. The Exhibitor area will host local historical organizations that offer programs, events & speakers. A food vendor will be onsite with all kinds of foods and refreshments throughout the weekend.
